The Honest Academy is a state certified preschool and childcare through the Oregon Child Care division. We enroll children 12 months to 5 years of age.

About the academy
A small preschool

Our program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and joins thoughtful structure with children’s natural curiosity. We want every child to enjoy a wonderful and memorable childcare experience.

Our structured environment emphasizes public speaking and building self-confidence, while giving children space to make choices, form relationships, and explore the world around them.
Meals are part of the day.Breakfast, lunch, and mid-morning and afternoon snacks are included in tuition. We strive to serve mostly non-GMO, organic, locally grown food in accordance with USDA guidance.
Monday–Friday
A thoughtful rhythm
from 7:30 to 5:30.
Full-day care runs from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. A half-day option ends at 12:30 PM. Saturday and Sunday are closed.
- A warm welcomeArrival, puzzles, dramatic play, and sensory activities.
- Breakfast & morning meetingA homemade breakfast, followed by a gathering where children help choose their activities.
- Outdoor playSeasonal activities, occasional gardening, or imagination yoga.
- Center explorationScience, art, math, reading, building, and dramatic play, followed by lunch.
- Rest & rechargeHalf-day goodbye, nap or quiet time, project work, and free play.
- Afternoon explorationCircle time, indoor and outdoor activities, storytelling, writing, and project work.
- Goodbye meetingThe day closes with a final gathering and singing.
